Short version
The translator is built to run in your browser. Your text, Morse code, playback settings, and WAV exports are handled locally for the tool experience. Do not place sensitive information into share links because links can contain the encoded message.
Information we process
Morse Signal Lab is designed as a browser-based utility. Text, Morse code, playback settings, and generated audio are processed in your browser for the core translator experience.
We do not require an account, and we do not ask you to submit personal information to use the Morse code translator.
Text, Morse code, and audio
When you type text or Morse code into the tool, that input is used to generate the matching output, playback timing, highlighting, and optional WAV export.
Generated audio files are created locally in the browser. Exporting a WAV file downloads it to your device; it is not uploaded by the tool as part of the export process.
Puzzle and share links
If you use a puzzle or share-link feature, the generated URL may include the encoded content needed to reopen that puzzle. Anyone with that link may be able to view the encoded message.
Avoid placing private, sensitive, or confidential information into a share link.
Local storage and preferences
The site may store simple preferences in your browser, such as theme mode or interface settings, so the experience remains consistent between visits.
You can clear this information through your browser settings at any time.
Cookies and analytics
Morse Signal Lab may use privacy-conscious analytics or basic server logs to understand aggregate site usage, diagnose technical issues, and improve the service.
If analytics are enabled, they are intended to measure general usage patterns rather than identify individual users.
Third-party services
The site may rely on hosting providers, CDN services, browser APIs, or other infrastructure providers to deliver pages and static assets.
Those providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, and timestamps as part of normal web delivery.
Data retention
Inputs used inside the browser-based translator are not intentionally retained by Morse Signal Lab after your session.
Technical logs, if collected by infrastructure providers, may be retained for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and operational purposes according to provider policies.
Children’s privacy
Morse Signal Lab is a general educational and utility site. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
